Chris Butler is an abstract expressionist currently living in Charlottesville Virginia. Utilizing muted colors, Chris allows the texture and depth of his work to develop complex emotions of specific moments in time. While he now focuses on painting, Chris has previously worked as a musician, in pen & ink drawing, and in photography.
With 30 years of experience,
Chris has recently held shows in Charlottesville, Richmond, and Washington D.C. He is currently an artist in residence.
